For the past 8 months, Baytna Syria Grantmaking has achieved outstanding results given the impressive number of project proposals from CSOs and small initiatives received; 358 Project Proposals, a number that exceeds the expectations of Baytna Syria Management and Board of Advisors. The number is predicted to reach 400 by the end of 2015.
As of August 2015 and with the generous basket of funds, Baytna Syria was able to successfully fund 31 effective projects amounting to around $440 thousand, covering different cities/areas inside Syria and supporting various key thematic clusters according to Baytna Syria mandate and grant policy that is available here. Currently, we are in the process of submitting 21 new proposals for new projects with an approx. amount of $300 thousand, these running projects are expected to be completed by end of 2015.
